Lady’s caprice cake is a tried-and-tested favorite recipe for very delicious homemade cake. It surprises with a fragrant topping of tasty jam, fluffy meringue and crunchy walnuts.


Lady’s caprice cake
Ingredients
- 4 eggs
- 150 g sugar
- 100 ml sunflower oil
- 250 ml yogurt
- 250 g flour
- 1 baking powder
- 300 g jam (to taste)
- 60 g walnuts (finely chopped)
Instructions
- Divide the yolks from the whites into two separate bowls.
- Add 100 g of sugar to the egg yolks and beat well until creamy.
- Add the yogurt and mix.
- Add the oil and mix.
- Add the flour mixed with the baking powder. Mix everything.
- Pour the mixture into a round or oblong pan, greased with oil or covered with parchment paper.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 180° for about 25 minutes.
- In the meantime, beat the egg whites with 50 g of sugar until stiff.
- When the cake is cooked, take it out of the oven and spread with the jam.
- Cover with the beaten egg whites and sprinkle with finely chopped walnuts. Return to the oven and cook for another 10 minutes until golden brown.
- Leave it to cool and cut.
