Peas tuna pasta with tomato sauce is a recipe for a very tasty and appetizing dish. It is a perfect idea  for an easy to make lunch or dinner.

It needs few ingredients and it is suitable for all seasons.

Ingredients
  

  • 180 g pasta (fusili or other shape)
  • 160 g tuna (canned, drained)
  • 120 g peas (fresh or frozen)
  • 250 ml tomato sauce
  • 1-2 clove garlic
  • 4 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 pinch sugar
  • q.s. salt
  • q.s. black pepper

Instructions
 

  • In a large saucepan, bring the water to a boil, add salt and cook the pasta. Drain it "al dente” (cook 2-3 minutes less than the package directions).
  • In the meantime, pour the olive oil into a deep pan, add the peeled garlic cloves and about 20-30 ml of cooking water. Stir-fry for a few minutes.
  • Add the tomato sauce, 1 pinch of sugar and salt to taste. Cover with a lid and leave on a low heat for about 10 minutes.
  • Add the peas and about 100 ml of the cooking water. Cover and cook for another 10-15 minutes until the peas are soft.
  • Remove the garlic and add the drained tuna. Add black pepper to taste.
  • Pour the drained pasta into the sauce. Mix everything. Leave it for about a minute.
  • Serve.
