Peas tuna pasta with tomato sauce is a recipe for a very tasty and appetizing dish. It is a perfect idea for an easy to make lunch or dinner.
It needs few ingredients and it is suitable for all seasons.


Peas tuna pasta
Ingredients
- 180 g pasta (fusili or other shape)
- 160 g tuna (canned, drained)
- 120 g peas (fresh or frozen)
- 250 ml tomato sauce
- 1-2 clove garlic
- 4 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 pinch sugar
- q.s. salt
- q.s. black pepper
Instructions
- In a large saucepan, bring the water to a boil, add salt and cook the pasta. Drain it "al dente” (cook 2-3 minutes less than the package directions).
- In the meantime, pour the olive oil into a deep pan, add the peeled garlic cloves and about 20-30 ml of cooking water. Stir-fry for a few minutes.
- Add the tomato sauce, 1 pinch of sugar and salt to taste. Cover with a lid and leave on a low heat for about 10 minutes.
- Add the peas and about 100 ml of the cooking water. Cover and cook for another 10-15 minutes until the peas are soft.
- Remove the garlic and add the drained tuna. Add black pepper to taste.
- Pour the drained pasta into the sauce. Mix everything. Leave it for about a minute.
- Serve.
