What could be better than a soft, tasty and aromatic freshly baked homemade bread?
The recipe for soda bread is the perfect idea to have a warm and delicious bread at home. It is very simple and quick to make with a few ingredients, without yeast.
- 500 g flour
- 5 g baking soda (1 tsp)
- 7 g salt (1 and 1/2 tsp)
- 400 ml yoghurt
- Mix the flour, the salt and the baking soda in a large bowl. Make a well in the center and gradually add the yoghurt, drawing in the dry ingredients from the sides of the bowl. Mix until a soft dough forms.
- Turn out onto a table dusted with flour and shape into a round.
- Place it on a tray covered with a baking sheet. Cut a deep cross in it with a knife. Sprinkle with seeds or sesame seeds if desired. Bake it in a preheated oven at 200° for about 40 minutes.
- Leave it to cool completely before cutting.
